I am originally from the Wirral in England however I studied and lived in Birmingham for five years once I left secondary school. I studied Primary Education at Birmingham City University where I achieved my qualitied teacher status.
Outside of school, I enjoy travelling to new places, spending time with my family and friends and keeping fit through regularly playing netball and cycling.
In September 2011, I began my first teaching post as a Year 5 teacher in the centre of Birmingham. Since then I have taught in Abu Dhabi and London before eventually settling in Dubai.
Teaching overseas has been my greatest adventure; it has allowed me to work in diverse environments, teaching pupils and working with staff from all over the world. Through working in such a variety of schools, I have been fortunate enough to have many exciting opportunities which have positively enriched me as an educator.
