My aim is simple; make the learning environment as fun, purposeful and as valuable as possible.

About Me

Originally from the Swansea Valley in Wales, I graduated with a Bachelor in Education from the University of Wales Newport in 2007. More recently, I gained a Diploma in Management and Leadership from the University of Wales, Trinity Saint David.

I am a happy, fun-loving individual who strives to make the most out of life. My passions include baking, history, as well as spending time with loved ones. I also love travel and culture.

My Experience

Teaching for 15 years, in various schools and across a range of ages, has afforded me with a broad knowledge base, which I use daily to create an engaging learning environment that allows students to thrive and achieve their full potential. I am extremely passionate about delivering academic results but I also believe it is vital to support students in developing life skills and to embrace their individuality; after all, academic excellence cannot be achieved without securing a student’s sense of well-being.

Additionally, I have been head of a junior department, overseeing years 3-6 and managing the students’ transition to Year 7. This solidified my understanding of how to build on Year 6 learning experiences in preparation for the next chapter in their education. In September 2021, I will be embarking on my second year at Safa British and I’m incredibly exited to be staying in the Year 6 team; it truly is a special year for the pupils.
