James Crawford

My name is James Crawford and I am thrilled to be joining the Safa British School community. I have been a teacher for seven years and have spent the last two years working in Dubai.

About Me

I am from the city of Liverpool in the United Kingdom. I attended Edge Hill University in Ormskirk and after three years I qualified to become a primary teacher. I graduated with a Bachelor of Education with a specialism in Mathematics. I have been lucky to work in many schools in Liverpool, including in my local primary school, where my journey in education began.

I am a huge fan of sports, especially football. I enjoy playing for my team in the Dubai Amateur Football League as well as watching Everton, my boyhood club. I am also a passionate cook and enjoy making a new recipe or cooking a home style meal.

My Experience

In September of 2015 I accepted a job in my university placement school. After successfully completing my NQT year I moved into supply teaching for six months, with the goal of broadening my experience of working in different schools, within different areas of Liverpool. In January of 2017 Began teaching in Gilmour Infant School, my last job in the UK.

I accepted my position as primary class teacher in the School of Research Science Dubai in August of 2020 and have been working there since. I am extremely excited about my new job in Safa British School and can not wait to get started.
