About Me

Bonjour! I am the youngest of 4 siblings, I am Egyptian and I come from a line of French educated family members. My father was a graduate from a French schooling system, as well as my older siblings and myself, so I grew up in a household that was not foreign to the language, rather loved and grew with it. Growing up in a multi-lingual household led me to develop a passion to languages that I wanted to share with my own family, because I love teaching. My family consists of a husband, and two lovely daughters that were my first students. My passion for languages and working with young minds led me back to university to study my IPGCE in Modern Foreign Language, which continues to develop and expands my own learning to help maximize the student’s learning experience. I strongly believe that a different language is a different vision of life. I am a coffee lover and so it is crucial to start my day with a cup. My family and I enjoy exploring new cultures and cities, we encourage each other to stay active. I personally enjoy going on hikes when the weather is accommodating for it, as well as kayaking.

My Experience

After university I started a career in the corporate world, where I worked in Bon Voyage travel agency that incorporated my love of the French language in my daily dealings, since my job was to communicate with tourists to organise their accommodations, reservations and their daily itinerary. After a career in the corporate world for 9 years, I moved to Dubai, where I first worked with a learning institute that offered SAT programs and learning conferences. I decided then to follow my passion and dedicate myself to a career in education. I have been teaching in Gems education and SBS (for 7 years in Dubai) in secondary and primary school. I started in Gems as a French teacher and a form tutor, which gave me the opportunity to build a relationship and track my students learning progress that helped me assist them to reach their full potential, and I was awarded as best French teacher in my school in 2017.
Then, I Joined SBS where I found myself to grow and enjoy being part of my student’s learning journey.”
