My favourite memory would have to be with the FS swim classes. To start with a group of swimmers who are fearful of the water can be very challenging! However, it is highly rewarding when their fears no longer exist and you know you are a part of the reason they now love swimming! Swimming is an important life skill to have and it is rewarding when children look forward to their lessons and make improvements each week.

About Me

I have fully immersed myself in the sporting and outdoor adventures on offer here in Dubai. During my free time I still love to swim but thoroughly enjoy being a key member of my hockey and netball clubs. Since being in the UAE, I now participate in a few new sports! I have found a new love for both Padel and Golf alongside the other outdoor adventures such as, Kayaking and hiking which are fantastic when you head over the boarder.

My Experience

Qualifications: Sports Coaching and Performance Management | ASA Swimming Teacher, Level 2 | Development Netball Coach, Level 2 | Gym Instructor, Level 3

Sport has always been a huge part of my life. I have competed across various sports, from a young age which created the passion to become a sports coach. I believe I can help every student develop not only their specific sport but also assist them in developing other sport characteristics such as motivation, resilience and commitment, whilst ensuring they gain understanding and enjoyment through physical activity.

I swam and dived for the City of Leeds and represented the club to a national level. I was part of the Great Britain Talent Identification Programme but with a love of sports that was so vast I chose to play as many sports as I could. I have also represented my home county, Yorkshire, for Netball and Hockey which cemented my focus towards a life dedicated to sport. My practical skills were combined with an education at Leeds Metropolitan University where I studied Sports Coaching with Performance Management. This helped provide me with essential and theoretical knowledge in developing young people in sport.

Since moving to the UAE I have focused on development swimming supporting various schools and clubs with their swim squads whilst still playing sports myself.
