My name is Miss Barlow, this will be my 9th year of teaching and my 6th year in Dubai.
I come from the Welsh Valleys in the UK. I started my teaching career there, where I attended the University of South Wales. I graduated with a degree in Primary Education, specialising in Early Years and KS1. Before deciding to make the move to Dubai, I spent 3 years working at a local Welsh Primary School in a Reception and Year 1 class. I am very much looking forward to my first year at Safa British School.
I have now been teaching in Dubai for 5 years working in FS and Year 1. I was also Head of Early Years and KS1 Science at my previous school.
I am passionate about creating a classroom environment for the children that is rich with exciting learning opportunities and where the children feel safe and valued. I teach with child-centred learning at the heart; empowering the children to be independent, innovative and confident learners.
