2022 Term 3 Parent Feedback

Sign up for ECAs is during the day & I often miss it.

We will now ensure that ECA sign up is later in the evening.

We miss face to face parent teacher meetings.

Next term as Covid restrictions ease we will offer a hybrid of parent teacher meetings.

Can we come back into school to see the children's books?

We will offer opportunities for our parental community to come back into classrooms to view your child's books.

Can we have additional resources to work on at home?

We will send reminders about the fantastic programmes we have here at SBS. For example Century & Learning Ladders at home.

I sometimes miss things due to different channels of communication.

We use ISAMs as our official whole school communication This includes newsletters, calendar dates and letters rom school. We appreciate there is no notification option on ISAMS so this is why we use seesaw -or reminders. Class specific updates and communication with the class teacher.

Can you share results of exams so that we know how our children are performing?

This year, the results of your child's PT exam be shared with you directly via iSAMS. PT scores are standardised so you will be able to determine where your child is in relation to age-related expectations.

I would love to see the profile of PE being raised here at SBS.

We have extended our leadership within the PE team to support expansion and further raise the profile of PE.

I would like to see the children using less screens.

We have introduced Turn it off Tuesday so all children do not use their iPads each Tuesday.
